Out with the old and in with the new

And so begins the next chapter of my career. I have stepped into the private practice sector. This is very exciting because it means a few things. First, I can accept insurance. Right now that is only Aetna, Cigna, and Optum, but in the future I hope to add more. And second, I can offer a sliding fee scale for those who want to receive therapy, but don't have insurance and haven't been able to afford treatment through other sources. This fee will be decided by us working together to make sure it is mutually beneficial. Going into private practice gives me more control over how I can help my clients and how accessible I can be to them. All sessions are currently being offered over Zoom, which is HIPAA compliant and safe to use. Additionally, all billing is being processed by Alma.
